What does Flex offer to Young People?
Flex is a unique and innovative programme which works with young people aged 14 – 25 who are NEET – (not in employment, education or training). The aim of the programme is to encourage and motivate young people to achieve their work aspirations. We provide a wide range of activities which offer young people an opportunity to showcase and develop their skills and talents. Past and current activities include mentoring, taster days and work experience.
FLEX offers:
- Flexible programmes that enable young people to progress into other learning such as FE or Apprenticeships.
- Preparation for employment and self employment, particularly for dissaffected young people to understand requirements around attendance, attitude, motivation, language and behaviour management.
- Vocational training and qualifications linked to key employment sectors and local employment opportunities including integrated literacy and numeracy skills develpment.
